WAR CRIMINAL CONFERENCE AND EXHIBITION : 'EXPOSE WAR CRIMES - CRIMINALISE WAR : FAILURE OF INTERNATIONAL LAW'



The Perdana Global Peace Organisation (PGPO) and Kuala Lumpur Foundation to Criminalise War (KLFCW) will be organising a conference, tribunal and exhibition from October 28th to October 31st 2009 at the Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC). The theme of the conference is 'Expose War Crimes - Criminalise War : Failure of International Law'.

Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad will be delivering the keynote address at the event and the other speakers who have confirmed their attendance include British Member of Parliament, George Galloway, former United Nations officials, Hans Von Sponeck and Denis Halliday. Other confirmed speakers include former United State Congresswoman, Cynthia McKinney and anti-war economist, Prof. Michel Chossudovsky.

The first two days will involve a public conference that aims to explain the range of war crimes commited in Iraq and other conflict areas as well as to identify its perpetrators.

The final two days will entail the proceeding of the War Crimes Tribunal dealing specifically with the atrocities committed in Iraq since the United State led invasion in 2003.

During all four days, there will also be a War Crimes Exhibition detailling the carnages of the war in Iraq as well as graphic descriptions of the instruments of torture used in prisons such as Abu Ghraib and Guantanamo Bay.

This event is complimentary and is open to public.
